 There is a difference for only a few $ more. 9 feet long with 3.5mm end plug. IR receiver is 38~56kHz Allows you to hide your equipment and operate the equipment remotely.

NOTE: Not for use in TV (Smart) IR port. The IR port on TV monitors are IR OUT not IR IN Front IR sensor on the Cable box will disable once the IR receiver is plugged in. RNG models front IR sensor does not disable.

Instructions for use: Simple plug and Play. Plug the 3.5mm end plug into the IR IN Port on the back panel of the cable box or other device IR IN port that is 5V with pin out Tip = VCC, Ring = Data, Sleeve = Ground. Place the IR Receiver on or near the TV frame or any other location that suits your needs.
